For most of my childhood, I suffered
from IBD. When I was 16, I discovered
a natural, clean diet that worked
with my needs, keeping me healthy
and stable for over a decade. But I
struggled to find foods outside my
home that were truly free of starches,
grains, added sugar, or other unknown,
and ‘unknowable’ ingredients. It was
difficult to stay disciplined during
normal, everyday activities like grocery
shopping, family outings and work.
And when I did find something that
fit my healthy lifestyle, taste was
compromised.
Many of the real food, whole food options
looked great---until I flipped the package
to read the real label. With nothing else
that measured up to my admittedly high
standards, I decided to start making my
own snacks. The goal? To give others who
are health conscious the freedom to enjoy
what they eat on-the-go, knowing they
compromised nothing.
